Abstract

The importance given to educational work from the reflective paradigm of knowledge, considers two premises, the first is focused on the student, and their training with the ability to reason, think and act in changing situations and contexts determined throughout all his life. The second is the relationship between society and education as a binomial that is constantly fed back into permanent activity to fulfill the social order from a dialectical process. According to social needs, we will have the function of education, its aims and quality concept. In this context, the ideal of educational quality is conceived and reflected from different spheres (political, institutional, but above all academic), but above all, ethical reflections on the social and substantive function of education. The integrating elements highlight the function of the family nucleus as the primary social circle in human formation. Of equal importance are the values (seen as life practice) under which the formative process is developed. With these bases, an integrating vision is presented below to rethink social development and the end of education with reflections on educational ethics in educational work.
