Abstract

The phenomenon of bullying has occurred worldwide with great incidence in educational institutions whether public or private. It occurs through aggressive and malicious behavior, and is often veiled as just a joke in bad taste, which tends to result in psychological damage to the victim. This article intends to deal with this phenomenon, in particular in the educational context and the psychological traumas that it entails in the short or long term, however it is worth noting that this event is not restricted only in the school environment, but is present in all areas of the society. In this way, with the qualitative bibliographic research, this article aims to bring the reflection about bullying and the importance of addressing this phenomenon so present in educational institutions and the need for joint action of professionals prepared to prevent, raise awareness, identify and intervene and deal with this violent phenomenon
