NON-FORMAL SPACE: THE BLUE LAGOON AS A FACILITATOR ELEMENT FOR SIGNIFICANT LEARNING

The present research has as its starting point the theme of the 2018 school year of the municipality of Jaboatão dos Guararapes: "Touristic and historical points of Jaboatão dos Guararapes: to know and to learn" and proposes to mobilize the students of a school of the municipality, aiming at to promote a reflection in the historical, geographic, environmental and social perspective on the Blue Lagoon and how it is being used in the present day. In this sense, using bibliographical researches, questionnaires and field observations, carried out with 17 students from the 6th grade elementary school class, had as objective to identify how the non-formal space Lagoa Azul can be a facilitating element in the learning of the students. Thus, as specific objectives designed by the teacher to analyze the different types of environments of the Blue Lagoon that offer conditions to work on educational aspects related to teaching science, geography and history; assess the learning potential of group members regarding space-related content and identify the use and appropriation of the natural space through tourism and its impacts on the environment, provide students with experiences so that they can recognize man's relationships with natural resources and thus develop consciously, independently and autonomously attitudes towards the protection and conservation of the environment.
