USING THE BLOG'S SPACE IN THE SCHOOL’S ROUTINE

Abstract

The study involved a reflection about the space utilization in virtual communities, the blogs -as an example -, in the school’s routine. A tool for publication and communication that uses the interaction between people to promote cooperative learning skills, the development and sociability of knowledge, and resources for teachers and students, stimulating reading skills, text productions and virtual communities’ formation. In this rhythm, it will be initially presented a short historic involving the existence of blogs in the virtual society and its uses in the real society, highlighting some weblogs characteristics, as such as palces of conversation and cooperative learning skills, to students and teachers. Besides, the possibilities for a pedagogical utilization of this tool so present nowadays. The tool is evaluated in this workpaper throughout an experience description performed with the blogof a Municipal School of Sapucaia do Sul/RS, as such as the teachers of the computing lab -LABIN -of the same school, emphasizing the resources and interactive possibilities pointed during the production socialization and the reading and writing practices. The analyses performed throughout the date collection emphasized the few uses of this tool in the school’s routine, but not for the lack of tool’s diversity, for the lack of pedagogical interest in the education fusion of the technology in the school’s routine.
