AGING, AGEISM AND ORGANIZATIONAL MANAGEMENT: THE INTERFACE REVEALED FROM THREE LITERATURE REVIEWS

The article aims to carry out an integrative analysis of the literature on aging, ageism and organizational management and to present the profile of the scientific production resulting from this interface. The methodological strategy adopted was the systematic review of the literature available on the Web of Science and subsequent integration of the results obtained from the literature reviews carried out by Pedro et al. (2020) and Helal and Viana (2021), who had already researched, respectively, from ageism and age management in organizations. It was concluded with a bibliometry of the three surveys. The results point 38 articles published between the years 2003 and 2021, with an evolution of publications from 2015 and a greater number of surveys and with a quantitative approach. The integration of the results reveals negative stereotypes about old age, the presence of ageism in organizations and the absence of policies and practices for managing age diversity that encourage the employability and permanence of mature professionals.
