A QUALITATIVE ANALYSIS OF GRAMMAR-TRANSLATION METHODS AND COMMUNICATIVE APPROACH IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING IN BRAZIL

The present work deals with grammar-translation and communicative approaches in the Brazilian schools scenario, addressing their main characteristics, their differences and how these methods are used in the classroom by the teachers aiming at a greater depth in the learning of the students. students, and what are the nuances and uses that each offers in English language learning, in order to understand the main differences in use of the two methods,to highlightthe characteristicsof each method for a greater use of them, to explain the importance of each method and show the importance of their understanding of English language teaching, since we believe that through the information proposed it will be simpler to reach the deep clarity of the phenomena that surround and refer to the knowledge of the peculiarities regarding dissimilarity of practices on the presented methods, which will bring us the greater comprehensibility and simplicity of the details concerning the subjects covered. The methodology of the present article was of basic base, of field being made a hermeneutical analysis with the use of questionnaire.
