ECUADOR: INCIDENCE OF UNEMPLOYMENT AND POVERTY IN REMITTANCES OF MIGRANTS, 2001-2014

This research deals with aspects related to economic indicators that affect migration levels and their economic effects, such as social ones due to factors of change and internal policy decisions. For this reason, the objective of the study is to determine the incidence of the unemployment rate, the national poverty rate in the regions of Ecuadorian migrants during the period 2001-2014. The applied method is based on economic models simple linear regression, using data from the Central Bank of Ecuador, National Institute of Statistics and Census and IndexMundi. The results of the model of the dependent variable of employment and the independence of the persons affirm to be significant with 0.0058 below the admitted value 5%, and the relation of the dependent variable of the poverty with the variable is the significance of the probability 0.000034, that is, good models for the study. The conclusions imply that whenever the remittances in 1% decreased the poverty in 6.40% and 2.56% the unemployment in lower percentage the last, considering that the social and political situation of the country to the investigated variables improved in a short term with proposals of economic programs in the incentive of decent work and avoid the migratory index.
