DETECTION OF SOCIAL NEEDS IN INFLUENCE AREA OF THE UNIVERSIDAD ESTATAL DE MILAGRO IN THE CANTONES NARANJITO, CORONEL MARCELINO MARIDUEÑA AND GENERAL ELIZALDE (BUCAY) OF ECUADOR

Abstract

The article analyzes the results of the detection of social needs in the Cantones Naranjito, Marcelino Maridueña and General Antonio Elizalde (Bucay), this research was carried out with the aim of carrying out a systematic study and understanding the needs of the communities of these cantons and from These results, design the programs and linking projects to be made by teachers and students from 2017. Through this study we could know the problems and needs of the most vulnerable sectors of these cantons from the perception of their social actors as the population, cantonal authorities, associations and UNEMI (authorities, teachers and students), in turn establish possible solutions to the various problems that exist in each of the locations. Based on the results of the study, it will be possible to identify the social intervention projects that can be carried out based on the knowledge and experience of UNEMI teachers and students, for which the problems detected must be prioritized, their causes defined and the gap identified. Exists between the current situation and the desired one. It should be noted that with the projects of Linking with the community will be a fundamental part of the professional training of students due to the human quality that as a future professional acquires, in addition to the implementation of their knowledge for the benefit of the community.
