Abstract

This article consists of analyzing critically the impact of social networks, more precisely the WhatsApp with the group of mothers in the educational context. Family involvement also affects the work of the teacher, be it in questions related to student behavior, in the teaching-learning process and in the issues of interaction between school and family. Communication of the human being as a social being occurs through participation and cooperation in the different contexts of daily life. People interact with each other through social networks. In the context in which the groups of mothers in the WhatsApp is formed in practically all the schools of Early Childhood Education at the beginning of the school year, a study was carried out in order to know the mothers' view of the school and how the application affects communication between family and school. For this, interviews were carried out with the mothers of the students of a private school in the southern area of the city of Recife. When analyzed and discussed through the theoretical basis, it can be concluded that in these groups several questions are asked, but the best form of communication is still made in person, although applications such as the online agenda also help a lot in this communication.
