Despite all the technological advances of the last decades, a number of contradictions remain unchanged. Seeking means of social insertion, the Solidarity Economic Enterprises and Social Technology have been placed as alternative organizational forms. Nevertheless, even in Solidary Economical Enterprises, Social Technology is still developed incipient. This article had as objectives: (i) to analyze the process of institutionalization of Social Technology in the context of the solidarity economy; and, (ii) analyze the process of formulation and implementation of Social Technology Public Policies. The process of institutionalization was investigated qualitatively in three cooperatives of family agriculture, as well as the Brazilian legal framework related to Social Technology. It was verified that these Cooperatives are in a stage of Pre-institutionalization; and that Social Technology is not backed by any specific Law. Therefore, it is understood that the implementation of Social Technology in Solidarity Economic Enterprises necessarily requires an organizational and state institutionalization.
