This paper analyzes the homicide rates and their relationship with international emigration, as well as the peace index and the presence of cartels in the Mexican context entities, specifically, 2000, 2010 and 2015. For this analysis, official data were used with which Mexican entities of origin of emigration to the United States were classified with high, moderate and growing decline. With the information of the deaths of 2000, 2010 and 2015, homicide rates were calculated to observe their behavior with the previous classification. Similarly, correspondence was found with the use of correlation tests, linear regression and cluster analysis. Between 2000 and 2015, while emigration declined, homicides grew significantly simultaneously. In Mexico, the more emigration fell, the more homicides grew, mainly in young men.
