Abstract

This research offers an overview of the main normative developments of international law and the domestic law of the Latin American States on the rights of indigenous peoples. The general objective of the present work is to identify the elements of interrelation between both diferents legal systems and their evolution. We also propose to find out what are the main material contents of the rights of recognized indigenous peoples and their projection in the public policies of the states and the social changes that have occurred.
