Many things are specified in the classroom that are beyond school plans, the wishes and fantasies of parents and their families, the hopes of the teacher and the educational community in general. We believe a different meaning must be given to the intervention and support that the teachers give to their students with disabilities. We present a project that was carried out with fourth, fifth and sixth grade elementary students, girls and boys between the ages of 7 and 14, who attends the Centro de Atención Múltiple #13 (CAM 13), where a painting and creativity project was implemented with different artistic activities to those proposed in the curriculum. 94% of the students that participated had intellectual disability, the remaining 6% were students with autism and one with motor disability. The workshop of art and creativity that was implemented, represented an enriching experience of life for the pupils that participated. An experience that has an impact on the educational processes of our students and that at the same time involved a change in the point of view of the parents toward their own children.
