This research aims to analyze the perceptions of first year students in Grades in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education and Social Education of the University of Almeria and Jaen (n = 374) on its skills training, in addition to deepen the development thereof, To establish contact with the centers and coordinate from the University an action plan that either from the PAT (Tutorial Action Plan) or from the orientation itself, will ease the transition from high school to university. To do this, we used the survey method and quantitative methodology. The main results we want to emphasize that students value their teachers with a positive rating in conducting a competency-based education and themselves evaluate themselves with a medium-high valuation, highlighting the skills of teamwork, empathy and problem solving although very distant scores according to the degree in which they are enrolled; despite these valuations, the labor market considers the students, access not well prepared for what society really needs.
