THE LETTER OF JAMAICA: TWO HUNDRED YEARS ANNIVERSARY
Keywords:
Bolívar, Letter of Jamaica, Bicentenary, AméricaAbstract
Written by Bolivar on September 6th, 1815 this letter is known as “Letter of Jamaica”; and is part of a set of documents of inescapable analysis in the study of Latin American history. In this letter, Bolivar reveals exceptional eloquence in supporting its emancipation and integrationism and with a tinge proselytism shows that spared no effort in seeking support for the independence of America; besides trying to promote conviction among Patriots.
