LA NOVELA HISTÓRICA COLOMBIANA: DIÁLOGOS DE VIOLENCIA Y MUJER
Keywords:
Historical novel, Colombia, Violence, Literature, WomenAbstract
The present text aims to analyze the female figure in the Colombian contemporary historical novel as proof of a counter-discourse to the model proposed by patriarchal societies. In such direction, it is here proposed that the female figure within said literary subgenre shows the rise of a generic violence that emerges from the non subordination to role models that proceed from the mental world of the Colombian colonial period. The result of this situation is that the female figures that break away from the colonial model are violently forced away from their social groups and destined to exile, confinement, and finally death.
