VALUE OF ARQUEOLOGICAL VESTIGIOS OF CULTURAUPAN III, IN THE SHUAR CERAMICA AND ACHUAR DE MORONA SANTIAGO: An ARQUEOMETRIC STUDY

The archeometric study of ceramics constitutes a key tool for understanding the technological and cultural advance of an Indo-Amazonian civilization, facilitating the understanding of its historical, technological, theocratic development. The objective of the present investigation is to evaluate the presence of Archaeological remains of the Upano III culture 500ac -1500dC., In Shuar and Achuar ceramics by means of an Archeometric study that consists of analysis performed by Optical Microscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy with Spectrometry X-ray by Energy Dispersion, Infrared Spectroscopy and Fourier Transform. Samples from quarry pigments, from the Copataza community and from ceramic and archaeological ceramic pigments corresponding to the deposits of the Wapula Archaeological complex were studied. The studies and evaluations allow confirm the existence of similarity between the current ceramics and the inhaler vessel whose manufacture dates back to the Upano III period, which corresponds to the Regional Integration or Development period, based on the mineralogical chemical composition.
