Abstract

The research carried out consists of the application of pictographic techniques to encourage taste and habits for reading in the second year students of EGB, of the Santa María de la Trinidad Educational Unit from the 2018 - 2019 period of the city of Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas - Ecuador, with the purpose of knowing the influence that pictographic techniques have on the strengthening of the interest in reading, a mixed, qualitative and quantitative approach was used, with a quasi-experimental design carried out in two moments, a pre and post test. test, finally the results of the intervention were evaluated in the first, noting a low interest and habits for the reading, in the second moment in the application of the pictographic techniques the interest and habits for the reading were improved. Concluding that the applications of the pictographic techniques significantly improve the interest, taste and habits for the reading of the learners.
