Abstract

The purpose of this essay is to expose the educational tendencies that are present in the knowledge society, considering those that are taking place in European universities and the joint visions developed with the European Union; in the United States as a reference country of success in the generation of knowledge in prestigious universities, placing it as the most buoyant nation in the world; and in Japan where strategic partnerships have been established between universities and the business sector, strongly supported by the Japanese State. Likewise, the implications that transformational leadership has had in leveraging the university management model are presented.
