THE THESIS WORKS AND THEIR REAL APPLICATION IN THE SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH OF THE CURRENT UNIVERSITY

Abstract

The present brief study aims to invite the university faculty colleagues to reflect on an aspect that is nonetheless worrying in the current reality. We refer to thesis work and its relation to the professional profile, taking into account that the professional profile is the precise definition of the set of skills and competences that prepare the future graduates to develop effectively in the practice of their profession. In the work, teachers and university managers are urged to carefully analyze Carrera's profile and to identify which traits of that profile identify their subject according to the specialty and that the thesis works faithfully respond to it, fulfilling the functions for which they were conceived. This is an aspect that adequately links with the demands of contemporary society and the new paradigms that make their way into Higher Education at this time, so without intending to propose formulas or procedural guidelines, this essay could give rise to the debate, discussion and critical analysis, to perfect our future work and achieve graduates with the required quality.
