DIDACTIC PROCESSES FOR THE LEARNING OF MATHEMATICS IN THE CONTEXT OF THE WAORANI COMMUNITY

In order to meet the specific needs of the Ika School, located in a distant region of the Ecuadorian Amazon and serving children of the Waorani ethnic group, a didactic proposal is presented, in the area of mathematics, for education students elementary and middle school. The objective of this research work is to strengthen teachers in the center mention teaching processes that generate significant learning in students from second to seventh year of General Basic Education (GBE).To determine the needs of teaching mathematics, we start with a deductive analysis associated with education policies, the school context, the learning methodology and the skills reached by the evaluatedsample. Based on the discussion generated, a proposal is established that promotes intercultural education and respect for the stages of child development. What will be carried out through micro curricular planning, the use of environmental material and the evaluation of achievements.
