Content validity of the Emotional State of Single Mothers Questionnaire

Being a single mother by choice or by certain circumstances leads to fulfilling some responsibilities around raising children, managing the home, academic activities, work, among others. The objective of the study was to develop the Emotional State of Single Mothers questionnaire and to establish its content validity. The research design was mixed of instrumental type with descriptive and explanatory scope, which occurred in three phases: construction of the questionnaire, evaluation of the questionnaire items by items carried out by 12 experts to determine, on the one hand, the relevance, coherence, sufficiency and clarity. and the degree of agreement with the statistical method of kappa 3 and the content validity index. among the results. A questionnaire was obtained with 34 items with a kappa value of .731, statistically significant to the value .000, equivalent to an acceptable level of congruence. An excellent content validity index (1). It can be concluded that the observations obtained by the experts considerably improved the questionnaire and is closer to the measurement objectives with an excellent and perfect score in the validity of the content, the same one that is ready to be submitted to the second part of validity and statistical reliability through exploratory and confirmatory analysis.
