CONSTRUCTION OF SOCIOCULTURAL IDENTITY AS PART OF HEALTH: INTERCULTURAL PERSPECTIVE
Keywords:
Social interaction –, Health care, Cultural changeAbstract
The gap developed between the theoretical corpus and reality has posed the need for re-signify the construction of what we know about individual and social well-being in an intercultural context. This mismatch is because the pace of reality and conceptual construction has not been the same, and this has been evidenced with consequences of practical nature, experienced by health center users and healthcare personnel after daily attention. In this experience of interaction in different spaces and with diverse manifestations, it was proposed to think about and answer the question: How do individuals who interact in healthcare spaces create reality in a cultural context? The report was generated from a theoretical review of intercultural approach as a way of building knowledge in the health sector as an alternative to recognize other cultural rationales, which pose us access to different ways of thinking and mechanisms of appropriation of reality; both, important inputs in the sanitary work and that reveal the construction of the sociocultural identity in health.
