Abstract

The role of universities in the formation of entrepreneurial projects is fundamental, because studies showed a positive impact of university incubators on the intentions of students to undertake. Under this panorama, qualitative methods are pertinent to develop research. Such is the case of this work, which aimed to identify actions that have contributed from the university to entrepreneurial training, through the analysis of the perception of students in a private institution of higher education, in order to define the scope and applicability of a model that may have been successful in other countries, but in the case of Mexico, we consider it necessary to review and especially explain. Using a software for qualitative data analysis, we found among the main findings that there is a positive impact regarding the factors and support elements in the entrepreneurial training of students. It also highlights the importance of leadership and personal characteristics of the entrepreneur, because students highly value the soft skills that they cultivate throughout their training.
