THE MODERNIZATION AND UPDATE OF THE CATASTRO IN MEXICO: AN ALTERNATIVE TO IMPROVE YOUR PROCESSES

Abstract

This article analyzes the current conditions in which the cadastral activities are carried out in the Mexican municipalities. Is to say, the institutional and administrative capacities, the infrastructure, as well as the personnel who works in the cadastre area. Therefore, this work contemplates proposing alternatives for the updating and modernization of the cadastre with the purpose of improve their functios. The methodology applied in this research is descriptive and deductive with a quantitative and qualitative combination that will allow to demonstrate the conditions in which this area of the treasury is currently operating. Derived from the above, it is possible to establish as a result of the work the institutional and structural weaknesses, which the majority of the cadastres in Mexico currently have. For these reasons, it is possible to conclude the need to attend the municipal treasuries, specifically the cadastre, through a comprehensive proposal of strategies and innovative actions that promote their development and modernization, and contribute as efficient means for the development of the municipalities.
