THE EXILE OF NEUROPSYCHIATRIST GONZALO RODRÍGUEZ LAFORA IN MEXICO, 1938-1947

Abstract

This article addresses the life and work of the Spanish neurosychiatrist Gonzalo Rodríguez Lafora. His training alongside notable specialists, professional practice in the field of brain injuries and mental illnesses, his collaboration with the governments of the Second Spanish Republic and his exile in Mexico between 1938 and 1947. The text highlights the collaboration academic and scientific that Rodríguez Lafora developed with several Mexican universities. In addition, their scientific works published in both Spain and Mexico are monitored.
