Humanization is a process of communication and mutual support among people, directed towards the transformation and understanding of the essential spirit of life. Objective: To recognize the level of humanized care offered by the nursing professional, in hospitalized patients. Methodology: bibliographic documentary research, descriptive cross section. Results: of the total of patients 61% express that nurses always provide a humanized care and 2% never receive humanized attention from nurses. The category with the highest percentage was the priority category with a percentage of 54% and the category with the lowest percentage was the emotional category with 29% as a humanized care provided by the nurses. Conclusions: The offer of a humanized attention, ethics and imagination before, before any other type of training, humanize health professionals This humanization could be carried out through the knowledge of the basic concepts that they integrate and the cultivation of new customs and postures What happens, then, is that the human being was treated as a case more attended by the team, leaving the family excluded as well.
