Abstract

The present article relates a pedagogical experience carried out with a group of teacher in training of the University of La Serena whose objectives are to familiarize students with the research articles and connect the content of the research articles with the pedagogical practice. The experience was carried out in three sessions in which the students could learn a series of articles on various educational topics to later select one of them and find relationships between their content and the practice they will face in the future. Future teachers assume that reading research articles is an action that contributes to their training and that allows them to acquire new and better tools. They value especially that the reading of the articles allowed them to become aware of educational problems they will face in reality, acquire new knowledge and view the issues that they will have to address in their role as head teacher.
