SOCIO-POLITICAL EXPERIENCES REGARDING MOUNTAIN TOURISM

Mountain tourism has been a banner of local development that the present work has approached as a research problem around the experience and the meaning they carry, but unlike marketing or criticism of this human activity, the present study rather It was proposed to interpret the discourses and narratives of the mystical, anthropocentric and ecocentric evocations with the purpose of deepening the understanding of what seems to be a conjuncture of the past and future in the present, known as symbolic processualism. An exploratory, transverse, interpretive and retrospective study was carried out with an intentional selection of participants and informants. There are lines of research related to the figurative and historical nucleus of social representations, since not only is ethnographically recognized a distinction between experiences and discourses, evocations and narratives, but also a collective construction of the meaning of the mountain from Opportunities and access capabilities.
