Abstract

We depict the story of a woman from her early childhood up to the present moment. The story is written in the first person based on the material gathered in the interviews carried out during the months of October and November 2015. The story consists of five chapters arranged in chronological order. The title of each one of the chapters refers to the place where the most important events take place in the life of the main character during the aforementioned period. The story of Maria is not like that of other women her age, however, it shares with them the fact that it is a story conditioned by a context, the Francoist Spain, where the role of women was marked right from their childhood.
