This article proposes a study based on the microanalysis, using prosopography and social networks, to study a large kindred family: the lineage Viales Briceño and its impact on the process of joining Nicoya´s Party to Costa Rica on July 25, 1824. We will study the role of the family as an institution and sociability networks , allowing them to consolidate itself and become part of the signatories of the act of annexation adding in total; 11 members of the 25 signatories.
