Design of a Pedagogical Proposal with Digital Educational Resources for Learning Peirce’s Sign Functionality in Virtual Semiótica Environments

The influence of information technologies has transformed education, requiring adaptation to virtual learning environments, especially post-pandemic. In this context, the Semiótica course was delivered virtually for the first time, using open Digital Educational Resources (DER). This research aimed to design a pedagogical proposal to teach Charles Sanders Peirce’s sign functionality through DER, crucial for interpreting verbal and non-linguistic signs in today’s reality. It explored students’ learning needs, current didactic strategies, and DER suitability for linking theory and practice. Using a quantitative-descriptive approach, it analyzed challenges such as students’ lack of deep understanding and practical application of Peirce’s sign, alongside reliance on traditional, less interactive methods. Results, validated by students, supported a proposal integrating tools like Padlet, Canva, and Kahoot, grounded in connectivism, to foster interactive, meaningful learning through discourse analysis, sign interpretation, and contextual reflection.References
