Music is present in the daily life of human beings; in education it is a resource that has been used since early education as a tool to awaken and strengthen students' interest in learning. The objective of this article is to reflect on the importance of the relationship that music has as a motivation for the development of meaningful learning in adolescents. The study was conducted under the quantitative paradigm with a correlational approach, using a non-probabilistic sample population composed of 28 students. The results indicate that music is a factor that motivates adolescents to perform the school activities assigned by their teacher inside and outside the classroom; to grasp knowledge and thus achieve meaningful learning. It is concluded that teaching methods and learning strategies implemented in the classroom should be prioritized and constantly reevaluated.
