Abstract

The purpose of this research allows to establish the conditions, processes and circumstances that
determined the practice and development of agricultural education in Mexico during the period from
1821 to 1910. With the independence of the country, the economic scheme changed from a model
based on the mining to an agricultural model, this as part of a state interest to boost economic
progress. The final stage of this period coincides with the dictatorship of General Porfirio Díaz, who
promotes development programs in order to improve the quality of life and development of the
country, exporting in a certain way raw materials such as: corn, wheat, beans, sugarcane. sugar, etc.
