READING: A REFLECTIVE ANALYSIS OF ITS FUNCTION AND IMPORTANCE IN THE CURRENT DAYS

The present article aims to show the relevance of reading in a reflexive analysis of its functionality in the school social aspect in order to carry out the attribution of the formation of critical and participative citizens. In this conception reading provides the growth of the subject and of society in its totality at the moment in which the world lived a globalization and the diverse forms of communication are interconnected and information that little by little has changed and continues changing the population routine. In this perspective reading is still considered one of the ways of developing personality and language, favoring the removal of obstacles and breaking educational paradigms in the promotion of cognitive. With the exercise of reading a favorable and thoughtprovoking tool, the student is immediately encouraged to train his intellectual skills and abilities, thus making reading the main form of communication between human beings. Thus, in order for the human being to have a critical and participatory experience, it is necessary that there be a constant stimulus for living among individuals.
