CITY FOR ALL: INCLUSION OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES IN THE BRAZILIAN URBAN AREAS. A LEGAL ANALYSIS

The article intends to devote attention to the inclusion of a specific group, that is, people with intellectual disabilities. Giving that the majority of the Brazilian population lives in cities, the text will focus the urban inclusion. The right to the city and the inclusion of persons with disabilities are two developing fundamental, constitutional and diffuse rights, thus it deserves attention. The goal is the satisfactory implementation of these rights, covering as many people as possible. The Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities imposed parameters and it has resulted in a great evolution of the inclusive treatment of people with disabilities in Brazil, through specifics governmental measures and laws. However, it is still important to improve that situation, specially taking into account the various needs of people with intellectual disabilities.
