STUDY OF ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION OF INDUSTRIAL COMPANIES IN CANTON MILAGRO, ECUADOR

Abstract

This contamination progresses symmetrically with the global progress producing collateral conditions that must be paid as a price of sustainable development, the human being is affected in his health mainly in the respiratory tract. Objectives: To identify the factors that influence the appearance of acute respiratory infections. Place. Canton Milagro, Ecuador. Methods. The research is quantitative, not experimental, of crosssection, exploratory type, the observation technique was used, carried out through a survey and interview to 50 people who attend the health center closest to the company belonging to the citadel Los Chirijos, and 50 inhabitants of the Nuevo Milagro sector, who were randomly selected simple, and 10 health professionals who work in the center. Results. In sector A, the three factors that influence health are the environmental factor with 70%, the individual factor with 20% and the social factor with 10%. In sector B, they live near a form of environmental pollution, obtaining 26%. 12% state that there is smoke and ash in the sector's environment. Conclusions. In this sector, the environment contaminated by the company produces respiratory diseases, the rate of consultations for this pathology have an impact on the production of the health center, becoming a persistent health problem in this community.
