THE WIND IN THE WORLD OF ANIBAL PONCE. FROM LIBERAL SARMIENTINO TO REVOLUTIONARY MARXIST
Keywords:
Anibal Ponce- Marxism, Liberalism, – Argentine Communist PartyAbstract
In the present article, we propose to analyze the thought and the action of one of the most important Marxist intellectuals of the early twentieth century, the Argentine Aníbal Ponce. In particular, we will focus on one of his books entitled "The wind in the world", which is a compilation of six conferences that he delivered between 1928 and 1933, invited by social, professional and/or political organizations. We are interested in the study of this work, because in it we can observe the transformation of Ponce from liberal Sarmientino to revolutionary Marxist, both at the level of his reflections and his political practice. Ponce was not born a Marxist, but became one, and he was established the most important intellectual of the Argentine Communist Party, during the 1930s. We propose with this writing, to recover and socialize his revolutionary thought because, although he thought, wrote and acted, in another historical moment, his ideas are still valid and constitute a weapon from which to continue giving the battle for the revolution, that it presents as urgent as necessary.
