FACED WITH THE LOSS OF THE REPUBLIC, THE VICTORY OF POETRY: DIALOGS OF EXILE ON TIMÓN (BUENOS AIRES, 1939)
Keywords:
Poetics, Magazine, Spanish republican exile, Latin AmericaAbstract
The magazine, as a polyphonic cultural artifact, has statements that are susceptible to responsivity. These statements are considered dialogical and allow us to note relations of power, political ideas, aesthetic positions, etc. in a present in which it is tried to intervene: the context of de war and the exile. Poetry (a privileged medium for the expression of hope and despair of the subject fragmented by exile) is presented as a possible route for the analysis of the dialogues that go through the magazine Timón: Síntesis de orientación político-social (1939-1940). The edition and adaptation of the poems for the publication, results in unpublished versions of works of authors as Antonio Machado, León Felipe and Walt Whitman.
