Abstract

The marital relationship is being affected by the covid-19 pandemic, as it significantly changed
people's lives in terms of their well-being and coping and generated several social challenges, such
as unemployment, economic fluctuations, concerns about physical health and psychological
suffering, which are considered threats to family instability. The aim of the present study was to carry
out an integrative literature review to understand the current well-being and coping in heterosexual
marriage during the covid-19 pandemic. A search of the references was carried out in the CAPES,
PubMed and Google Scholar journals in August 2021. The search allowed the identification of five
articles that met the established criteria. The search strategy found a total of 26,410 articles. 26,309
were excluded for the title, 03 for duplicity, 98 after the eligibility analysis, 54 for the abstract and 39
after reading the full text.
