EMPIRICAL ANALYSIS OF THE SECI MODEL ON KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT IN COMPANIES IN NORTHERN MEXICO
Keywords:

Since Nonaka published its first theoretical approaches about the knowledge management during the nineties, the SECI model gained great relevance within the academic community. However, criticisms have emerged that demand more evidence to prove empirically such postulates. For this reason, the aim of this research is to evaluate the association and the causal relationship between the stages of this process: socialization, externalization, combination and internalization. A sample of 70 companies from northern Mexico was taken as empirical evidence, where Pearson correlation and simple linear regression were applied. It was found that these stages are associated in a significant way, at the same time that it is possible to observe a strong causal relationship between them. Therefore, through this it is possible to support empirically such a model.
