THE EMOTIONAL STATE IN PATIENTS WITH HEMODIALYSIS TREATMENT

Patients suffering from chronic renal failure (CRF) and undergoing hemodialysis suffer various changes in their lives, due to the disease itself and the treatment. to know how hemodialysis influences the mood of patients with CRF. The applied method is quantitative, observational, cross-sectional, descriptive in a population of 180 patients who go to the help center, a non-probabilistic sample of 25 patients is extracted, the observation and survey technique was used, as instruments a validated questionnaire by expert judges, and the Hospital Anxiety-Depression test. Anxiety 72% and depression 76%, with respect to the other variables, it is observed that the factors that alter the state of mind in Hemodialysis are the Diet in 100%, Dialysis Time100%, Economic Expenses 80% and Family Dependency 68%, in complications that occur in the process of hemodialysis, the most frequent are the Cardiovascular 44%, followed by general discomfort 24%, blood glucose 20% and in a lower percentage the respiratory 12%, the family circle is affected by 84% for an unsatisfactory life together, 80% of patients who have the support of the family and 20% show indifference. There is a high prevalence of altered mood in the patients studied and a high number of them need emotional support.
