ON FUNERARY POST AND ITS VARIATIONS: SUSPENSION AS A FOUNDATION

We show a symbolic object whose plurality of meaning in different cultures is reduced to a common one: to stablish a link between telluric -ancestor‟s space-and earthly world. We explore, in addition, other objects related in some ways to the post, as well as a brief comment on the representation of funerary post in contemporary art.
