CONTRIBUTION OF THE PRODESOL PROGRAM ON THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF SOBRALENSE CITIZENS

Abstract

The actions of current public management are based on national and international agreements, with
a series of guidelines, principles and signed agreements that address the tripod of sustainable
development. The objectives of municipal management and meeting social demands take place
through public policies. In this context, this work aims to seek understanding about the contribution
of the Prodesol program in the quality of life of citizens in the city of Sobral. For this, a qualitative
research was carried out through the application of a semi-structured interview with the project
coordinator. The results indicate the program's contributions to the citizens' quality of life, such as the
implementation of new water networks and sewage system; Expansion of the collection system;
Expansion of streets and modification of road directions; as well as restoration and construction of
PSFs – Family Health Posts. Therefore, it shows in its conclusion that the program introduces and
generates contributions to improving the quality of life, as the actions implemented have a direct
impact on the daily lives of citizens of Sobral.
