Abstract
When discussing the inclusion of deaf students to school environment we are talking about access
and keeping action at regular net teaching school. This study aims at investigating the importance of
LIBRAS interpreter in the process of teaching learning process of deaf subject at regular school. To
our theoretical reflections we had used contributions by Quadros (2004; 2019), Vitaliano (2010), Skliar
(2017), Lacerda (2000), Kelman (2010), Magalhães, and Nóvoa (1992), among other scholars. We
could see that deaf student has still been received at school in a way that school is never prepared
to include him/her, especially in linguistic access. In what is related to this, communication, the
students comprehend, valorize, and recognize the importance of the work of LIBRAS interpreter to
teaching learning process. He/She sees that without this professional work in his/her classroom there
is a lack of linguistic accessibility that put in risk the process of interaction and knowledge
construction.
