PSYCHOEDUCATIVE GUIDE FOR PARENTS WITH TEENAGERS CHILDREN THAT PRESENT SUICIDAL ATTEMPT
Abstract
In the present investigation educational necessities were identified that parents have with their teenagers children, that have
inclination to the suicide, with the object to make a psychoeducative guide that allows the orientation and family education. A
descriptive study was made in the Universitary General Hospital Manuel Piti Fajardo located in the township of Palmira,
province of Cienfuegos, Cuba in year 2014. The methodological vision intergrates a quantitative and qualitative point of view,
because both have been used in different moments that the investigation has had and talk in the analysis and interpretation of
the results. In the phase of diagnosis of educational necessities semi-organized interviews were applied (parents and people
specialized), a questionnaire and the technique of the 10 wishes to parents. The most important results obtained were
associated to the detection of parents’s necessities between you can find: go into detail about the characteristics of the
adolescence, the connection of children with the group of friends and the partner, just like different factors of risk that influence
in the teenager, the emotional support, the connections father- sons and knowledge of the illness. The psycho-educative made
guide provides possibilities to orient parents that have children with suicide attempt.
