SCHOOL EVASION AND STUDENTS OF YOUTH AND ADULT EDUCATION
Abstract
The present work seeks to reflect on school dropout since it is part of the historical trajectory of the EJA. In the unfolding of this question, we sought to dialogue and analyze the determinants that cause a great number of evasion in this modality of education, as well as to understand which are the factors that collaborate so that this situation occurs year after year without there being any relevant changes in this sense. This research was carried out through a qualitative approach, according Lakatos e Marconi. because it consists of analyzing and interpreting very particular aspects. We used for data collection, a questionnaire that allows us to know the participants' view of the topic. The subjects of this research are students of the modality of Education of Youths and Adults that study in public schools in the municipality of Camaragibe. Our rationale was based on studies obtained by the reference of Gadotti and Arroyo, Law of Guidelines and Bases of National Education: nº 9394/96 among others. The results were analyzed through categories created from participants' answers, in which they revealed that school dropout is not due to the lack of interest and commitment on the part of the youth and adults to stay in the educational sphere. And it is because of work, generational conflicts in the classroom and to take care of the family / children.
