In the research, qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques were used, through interviews with institutional representatives and primary and secondary statistical information sources. The variables of migration, return, social and economic development were studied. Among the main findings, a high percentage emigrated due to work issues; In the last fifteen years an average of seventy-four point two million dollarswent into the countryfor remittances; sixty-nine point eight percent would like to start a business and the human development index of the returnees is zero point eighty-two. It is concluded that the return migration has a positive impact on the social and economic development of the country due to the learning, competences, experiences, ideas and economic resources that they bring; However, this potential is being wasted, because in the country there are still no facilities for the development of entrepreneurship.
