THE CHALLENGES FACED IN THE ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT OF NONGOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS
Abstract
It is observed that the actions developed in the NGOs reach a portion of the population, becoming
one of the main agents of civil representation and combating environmental, social or cultural ills, at
the same time that an adaptation of marketing management tools to the NGOs was noticed. In this
way, the administrative practices present in the entities began to be discussed in the academic and
business spheres. In this context, this article aims to identify the effectiveness of the practices of the
current administrative management model of NGOs. For this, a multi-case study is carried out with
three NGOs in the municipality of Sobral - CE, through semi-structured interviews with the managers
of these institutions. The survey results showed an awareness of managers regarding the
management functions applied to institutions, as well as the need for continuous improvement.
