PSICO-SOCIAL FACTORS LINKED TO THE HIGH INDEX OF INTRAFAMILY VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN OF RÍOVERDE CANTON

This research is based on the psycho - social factors linked to the high rate of intrafamily violence against women in the Ríoverde Canton, due to the fact that this sector in recent months shows a high rate of intrafamily violence against women who are they have been beaten, threatened or insulted by their partners, a qualitative and quantitative mixed research was used because it has the purpose of knowing the elements; the how to arrive at the interpretative reasoning with an inductive, deductive, descriptive method to a total population of the Ríoverde Canton applying a survey to a sample of 300 women who could determine the psychosocial factors linked to the intrafamily violence carried out against them. And as a result, it was determined that the majority of women who are victims of violence are between the ages of 21 and 30; the same women who are not married, live with their partner in a free union and therefore are the ones who have endured intrafamily violence in a diverse and constant manner. These actions constitute the violation of the human right to health and the right to enjoy conditions that enable development in terms of leading a dignified and free life without violence.
